The BYD DENZA B8 is sold in China as the FANGCHENGBAO BAO 8. The DENZA B8 is a high-load vehicle. Replacement wheels should have a load rating of at least 1,325kg per wheel, matching the factory wheel rating. For off-road use, frequent full-load driving or long-distance travel, Makstton recommends increasing the rating to 1,400kg per wheel.

Makstton measured the distance from the outer tire edge to the fender as follows:

Small left-to-right differences may result from vehicle assembly, suspension alignment and normal measurement tolerances.

With AT tires and the factory bodywork and fenders retained, these fitments are expected to protrude approximately 10–15mm beyond the body. Actual results depend on the tire model and its measured section width.
Spare-wheel carrier warning: These recommendations change the factory offset, and the 9J options also increase wheel width. The factory rear-mounted spare-wheel carrier is therefore unlikely to accept the same setup without modification. If the external spare must be retained, verify the carrier clearance separately or keep the factory wheel specification for the spare.

The owner planned to use the vehicle for light off-road driving, so the wheel diameter was reduced from 21 to 20 inches while retaining the factory 8.5J width and ET40 offset. The 275/55R20 AT tire adds sidewall while keeping the overall tire diameter close to the factory 275/50R21 setup.
